10 Instagrammable Locations in Dubai | Where to Take Your Outfit Photos in the Summer
Hi loves! Summer in Dubai isn’t cooling off anytime soon, and this can be super frustrating for our Instagram feeds. We all know the key to a gorgeous photo is excellent lighting, but in this heat, your makeup will melt before you get the perfect shot outside. This post is a list of ten indoor locations flooded with enough natural light to get a beautiful photo.
Secret Garden by L’eto
Secret Garden by Leto has two beautiful locations covered in flowers, one in City Walk and one in The Dubai Mall. The drinks and desserts are perfectly instagrammable as well, so grab a matcha latte and get to snapping.
2. The Atlantis hotel
The Atlantis hotel has two iconic Instagram spots: the lobby and the aquarium. The palm is a long way for me, but their spa and several of their restaurants have deals on The Entertainer app. Most deals are buy-one-get-one, so grab a friend to go with you. You can take each other’s pics.
3. At the Top
At The Top of the Burj Khalifa is a must-see for tourists visiting Dubai. It also has some indoor photo spots, like the wings in my phots. If you are brave enough to venture in the heat, you can also get a fantastic photo on the observation deck. Just be sure to look at inspiration on Instagram to decide how you want to pose before you step outside. You will have seconds to get the pick before you start sweating.
4. Wild and Moon Cafe
Wind and Moon’s downtown location is the perfect place if your feed is more minimal or has a touch of a boho vibe. The cafe features clean interiors with green plants everywhere. They are also one of the few 100% gluten-free restaurants in Dubai, and I highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat there.
5. Jumeirah Al Naseem Lobby
This is one of my favorite hotels for Instagram pics throughout the year. In the winter, you can go just outside the lobby and get a photo with the Burj al Arab in the background. If you want to stay out of the heat, inside the lobby, they have beautiful neutral hallways for a more minimal look or an always changing floral display to add some color to your feed. The hotel is also home to my favorite burger restaurant in Dubai, Black Tap. You can read my review here.
6. Bounty Beets
Bounty Beets is another 100% gluten-free restaurant in Dubai, but they didn’t go for your typical healthy eatery interiors. They have several colorfully curated spots to brighten up your feed.
7. Lobby and Skyview Bar in the Burj Al Arab
The lobby of the Burj al Arab is incredible for an over the top luxurious looking photo. You have probably seen it on your favorite luxury travel Instagram account. You have to be a guest at the hotel or have a reservation at the spa or one of their restaurants to be allowed on the property, so I suggest checking out the Skyview bar for afternoon tea. The view is my favorite in Dubai, and the timing of the afternoon tea means you get to see the daytime, sunset, and nighttime view of the city. It’s truly magical.
8. Saya Caffe at City Walk
A newcomer to the Dubai cafe scene, Saya Caffe is like a copy-paste of the Instagram famous EL&N cafe in London. There are plenty of flower walls around the restaurant, and they love heart photo area. I like that the love heart photo area is not part of a table, so it doesn’t matter where you sit you can get a picture here at some point during your visit.
9. Fashion Avenue in The Dubai Mall
Fashion Avenue is my favorite place to shoot in the summer. There are so many beautiful places to take photos here. I will often go with my friend with three outfit changes and batch-create content. I also love that there is always some creative display that they change frequently, so I can shoot here often without my photos looking the same.
10. Laduree in The Dubai Mall
Technically, you could count this as Fashion Avenue because it is at the start of the original Fashion Avenue, but I think it is special enough to be on its own. The freshly renovated Laduree is a beautiful combination of mint and pink. There is a neon sign above the macaron counter that adds a cool element to any photo. You can get several shots here: at the macaron counter, sitting at a beautiful table, or of the food itself.
What spot will you be checking out to take your photos?
